Robert E. McKinney co-founded the law firm of McKinney Law Offices, P.C., after graduating from the University of Iowa Law School. Mr. McKinney was born in Colo, Iowa, in 1951. He received his preparatory education at Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1974. He graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Law, Iowa City, Iowa, earning the degree of Juris Doctor in 1977. Mr. McKinney was admitted to the Iowa Bar in 1978. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Iowa.

Mr. McKinney is a member of the following professional associations: Dallas County Bar Association, Iowa State Bar Association, American Bar Association, American Association for Justice, Iowa Association for Justice and the Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, Inc. In addition to his trial practice, he has served as president of the Dallas County Bar Association and has served on the Board of Governors for the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association. Mr. McKinney has lectured on workers' compensation issues on behalf of the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association and the Iowa Association of Workers' Compensation Lawyers, Inc. He practices primarily in the area of workers' compensation and personal injury litigation.
